Arbor Victoria Residential

Dear Richard and the staff at the Arbor, It’s been almost a year since our mom moved in to the Arbor Victoria and what a blessing it has been. We wanted to take a moment to express our sincere thanks and gratitude for the wonderful job you do. It is a stressful situation for anyone when they have to move their loved one to some form of assisted living. We did our research and checked out numerous facilities and after meeting you and your staff we
knew this was the right home for our mom. The minute we walked in to the Arbor, with its charming Victorian setting, our mom, and our family, felt very comfortable and knew she would be happy here. Your attention to detail, the cleanliness of the house and resident rooms, the well cared for grounds, the delicious and healthy meals and the loving family feeling makes the Arbor an A +. Most importantly, the love and respect and excellent care you give to our mom just reconfirms every day we made the right decision in choosing the Arbor Victoria. You go out of your way to welcome all of the resident’s family members into “your Arbor Victoria family”. The birthday celebration, barbecues, movie nights, holiday parties that you always extend to the families creates this warm and loving atmosphere. When we are asked our opinion about the Arbor and would we recommend it to others, without a doubt, our answer is YES! We really feel that for you and your staff this is not a job – rather it is a true calling, and for this we are so grateful.

Dear Richard,
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you and your staff for for the wonderful care that my mother Patricia has received at the Arbor Victoria for the last year that she has been with you. As you know, when we moved her in with you, she was becoming increasingly frail, and we were very worried that any move would have significant deleterious effects on her health. You even warned us of such. As a physician I have seen such moves affect my patients. To the contrary, she has thrived under the extraordinary care she has received at the Arbor. I can not say enough about the “family” relationship you and your staff have established with her and all of your residents. I have, and my whole family have been incredibly pleased with how your staff and you in particular have interacted with our large and potentially demanding family. I have most appreciated the way you have stayed in touch with my brother and I regarding my Mom’s medical conditions. I will never forget the night you called me to say you were worried she might have had a stoke. You had already call 911 (appropriately) and I could not believe that your drove to the hospital to be with her until other family members arrived. Above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks again to you and your staff for the positive, friendly and safe environment you provide.

Dear Richard
I want to thank you for the care you have provided my mother, Patricia. My family and I felt that she had declined physically and mentally at the residence she had lived in previously. Her prior facility was large, somewhat impersonal, and we noticed she had begun to withdraw, spending most of her time in her room and not engaging with the other residents. This, I feel, contributed to both her physical and mental decline. We researched multiple options, but all of them had the same large, impersonal persona, similar to where she had been living. We heard about Arbor Victoria through a friend and the concept seemed to be exactly what we were looking for. The smaller facility allowed for the more personal touch my mother was needing. The Arbor Victoria is a Victorian home that really functions as an assisted living facility w/o looking or feeling like one. My siblings were drawn to the personal attention my mother would receive, including the home cooked meals, and family atmosphere of you and your staff. I am a physician, an Internist specializing in geriatrics, so I was given the task of ensuring that the care given to my mother would be at least up to the quality of assisted living in a large retirement facility. You have exceeded all my expectations. My mother has had several health events this past year and you have responded immediately to her needs. You arranged for transfer to the hospital when she was ill, calling me immediately, going to the hospital emergency room to keep her company, and keeping me updated on her progress. Living out of town, this has provided me with great peace of mind. The facility is clean, the meals wholesome, and the staff attentive and knowledgeable. More than all the above, you and your staff have shown your affection for my mother, and proven that you really care for her as one of your family. Thank You
